SELECTING AND SPECIFYING THE PRODUCT
1 Product Description and Suitable Applications
|
SealPROOF membrane is a single part liquid rubber membrane designed for waterproofing areas that will be covered over with toppings and/or tile beds.
Common applications include:
- Wet areas
- Showers
- Laundries
- Terraces, balconies and decks
SealPROOF is suitable for application to concrete, fibre cement, wet area timber sheeting and external grade plywood surfaces –see Substrate Requirements and Compatibility for full details. SealPROOF membrane complies with AS/NZS 4858:2004.
|
Sealtec Waterproofing Systems are a complete membrane solution, supported by a range of specialty products to provide assurance and security against the penetration of water in any form.
Developed by advanced polymer technology SealPROOF membrane is flexible and elastomeric, displaying outstanding waterproofing features with low water vapour transmission properties and the ability to withstand permanently wet conditions without re-emulsification of the cured membrane.
Another key feature of the SealPROOF membrane when cured is the compatible bonding surface for a variety of toppings, renders, tiles and screeds to adhere without concerns of incompatibility or de-bonding
Sealtec specify all ancillary products to be used as part of the SealPROOF Liquid Membrane System for ease of design and application.
|
External Weatherproofing use: i.e. Podiums, Decks, Balconies |
| The system consists of a two coat liquid rubber membrane, applied directly to a primed, plywood or compressed sheet substrate. |
 |
This system creates a two coat membrane system totalling up to 2mm thick. On completion this system must be covered with a suitable tile bed, finish topping or floating deck. |
